Tony is a true Gent in the world of boat transport. He is a boat owner before a haulier and it shows in the way he looks after boats in his care. I asked him to transport my Elizabethan 29 from Sicily to Poole, and Tonymade it a smooth, stress-free process. At the load up in Sicily he took all the problems the Italian boatyard threw at him in his stride, and sent me a picture message to me know back in the UK that everything was loaded up. During the trip up through Europe he kept me posted with regular text message updates so i could meet the boat on arrival without wasting any of my day. It is december and i had just recieved an email from Grand Harbour marina Malta to say that a berth had become available and would i like it. Fantastic! didnt have to think twice about saying yes. then once the euphoria had died down came the realisation that i may have a bit of a problem of getting my old, but much loved Fairline fury from cambridge to malta. i also had additional problem of needing to do so before the end of march beacuse both river licence and present marina berth expired then. I made enquiries at the London boat show which thankfully lead to Tony of Tonytugboats getting in touch to say that he was both willing and able to undertake the task. Right from first contact i was impressed with his obvious enthusiasm for boats and for the job of transporting them both at home and abroad. i also liked his can do attitude and no problem that i perceived as being insurmountable seemed to phase him. He collected my boat from the mrina on 31st march 2010 and stored it in his yard over easter. While in his yard he allowed me to take the opportunity to change anodes from magnisium to Zincs ready for the mediterranean. He also provided a decent cup of tea while undertaking the task. I flew out to Malta and tony embarked on what seemed to me a mammoth journey and kept in touch to say where he had arrived each night. this was extremely reassuring and shows his attension to customer care that had been impressive right from the start. he kept a photograhic recordof the journey which he showed me on safe arrival in Malta. His high level of customer care continued with his willingness to launch the boat at a slipway of my choosing and he was also prepared to stop at a filling station enroute so that i could fill up my tank. What seemed a near impossible task in December had been accomplished with little fuss thanks to Tony He is a fantastic guy and has enabled me to live out my dream of sunshine boating. If i ever have to move a boat again it will be with Tony.

We would just like to say a really big thank you for transporting our Birchwood 25 from Woolverstone marina ( Ipswich) to Penton Hook marina (Chertsey) on the 15th of September 2008. Hi Tony, Just a quick line to let you know our e-mail address, we finally got onto our mooring last friday, bloody boat had no forward drive, we were lucky to have a fellow resident boater on board, he was so helpful, but after 2 hours stuck at the back of the marina, Maria rang Paul and he came out and tugged us around to our new home. Dont forget the pictures, especially the one of Maria flat on her back.
